Mälar Paviljongen, the café and bar, has also its own cozy flower garden filled with various pots of herbs that lightly scent the air.

Just about 20 minutes walk from Stockholm’s T-Centralen or central station, along Norr Mälarstrand is this cozy, part floating on water café, restaurant and bar that lets you enjoy the sunset in Stockholm to the sounds of cool lounge.

The café and bar is all about the experience of dining alongside one of Stockholm’s most beautiful waterways, where even when standing in line for their quintessential coastal fare – that exquisite shrimp sandwich topped with dill and a slice of lemon – that guests are at the same time invited to put their noses to the herbal collection of plants that includes an intoxicating mix of parsley, dill, thyme, mint, rosemary and lemon – all organically grown.

Popular with tourists as well as locals, this floating oasis seems the perfect after-work mix and mingle place for that mid-week break where you can order most anything from beer to wine and from warm to cold dishes and desserts. A little bit of Barcelona Montjuïc magic by this Scandinavian waterfront.

As I sat on the floating deck of the café and bar overlooking the waterways into the vermillion sunset of the sky, I was told too that guests arriving in their own boats during the summer would have the opportunity to moor right at their sun deck.

Coupled with the presence of top invited DJ’s for party weekends at this place as part of their summer activities, I for one, look forward to those long summer nights right here!
